Rachel's Bio
Driven on her quest for female-empowerment, Rachel is an Australian screenwriter and author with a passion for telling action, fantasy, and Sci-Fi stories to a worldwide audience. Rachel left a nursing career in the pursuit of her storytelling dream in 2017, before having her first novel published by Beacon Publishing in New York in 2019.
Not long after, her love for superhero shows and desire to see female heroic protagonists written authentically, compelled her to make the switch to film and TV. Rachel has since made the Quarterfinals for Screencraft’s Screenwriting Fellowship (2020), had two scripts appear on Coverfly’s Red List (2020) and even scored a 7 on The Black List.
Post-Covid, Rachel has gone onto build her own publishing imprint in Whyalla, entitled Dual Daggers Publishing, has studied video production, animations and even the art of building Interactive Novels. Presently, she is a single mother working fulltime and dedicating her spare time to mentoring creatives in her local region – which started at the Whyalla Library’s RaW festival in 2023.
